I feel so empty, and alone. I hate it. I get bullied and made fun of every day, no matter how much I try to make my "friends" stop. It really pisses me off.
In school trip to Paris, I spent a fair amount of time with two girls, both two years younger than me. But she probably just sees me as a boring idiot, and wouldn’t bother herself with me, because I’m probably not what she would look for. I can take some comfort from seeing her everyday at school, but I can’t spend time with her there. I’m just too shy, and worried about what people would call me if I tried to spend time with a year eight. If I wasn’t so damned scared of ruining any friendship we had, I would probably talk to her more. But I’m just to scared.
"So close, yet so far". I understand this now. This feeling of not knowing and being scared of what to do is killing me, devouring me from the inside out. I don’t know how to stop the hunger of this ever-growing hole. For I see a few different paths, and their outcomes
Just live and let live, and hope that someone I can love will cross my path, however unlikely that may be. Tell her what I feel, and be accepted, and acknowledged by her, and happy. But who knows what others would say. Tell her, and get totally rejected. This is what would likely happen. And again, who knows what my friends would think. I can only hope that my life will contain a bit more joy and love than that which has already befallen – or should I say not befallen – me. I’m sick of it. I have already given serious thought to taking the easy way out, of ending this, this pitiful excuse for a life.
And for anyone who actually gives a monkey’s arse, most of the story will be set out as a diary, starting from the hero’s 13th birthday. The present parts will be third person, the diaries in first. Good style? I think it will work well. Thanks again if you bothered to respond.

I think this could be really, really good with some editing. I like the idea of writing an "anti-hero’s" diary, but I think that since there are a lot of books out there about depressed teenage boys, you should give your anti-hero a very unique quality. I don’t mean you should make him a vampire or anything like that…but maybe you could give him a distinct voice, or an interesting background that explains in part why he is what he is today. I think to be successful this should be a character driven novel–it could be an excellent character study/romance if written well, and it’s obvious from what you’ve posted here that you’re a good writer.
