Dating a drug dealer?

I really need advice I never would have thought this. I live in Australia.(this is sort of long)

He is new to our school and he came on Monday. I saw him in the beginning of the day and thought "who the hell is that guy!?" and I haven’t ever seen him and of course thought he was new, but I was real intimidated by him from a distance because he looked so old and doesn’t look high school age and more like 25 (his build intimidated me a lot too.. I’ve never seen anyone in high school that can be that muscular without steroids or something).I’m surprised at everything, since I’m not exactly popular at all(I have a couple real good friends) and I don’t drink or do drugs or even go to parties and am sort of a theater geek, it seems like I don’t really exist to most people but I do take care of myself real well, try for the gym 5 days a week and I don’t even wear makeup.

anyways at lunch on Tuesday i was eating in the cafeteria by myself and he came by and asked if he can sit with me and said he was new and doesn’t really know many people..so of course I said yeah sure! and we just started talking until the bell rang,then we basically made plans to go out Friday for dinner and to see a movie, and we did and this is where I sort of found out he "had A LOT of money"

The date went awesome and he’s so sweet and respectful(very mature)and overall just real easy to talk to and we sort of seemed to have a natural chemistry and got along well. I’ve always been a hopeless when it comes to a relationship, I’ve never been comfortable with any other guys before so this was a change, and it felt real nice. He’s the exact same when it comes to girls. Well when were about go leave we were outside at a bench and he had to tell me something and no use of hiding it. He told me he sells cocaine, not he’s not proud of it. He said he’s not a bad person but he has to do it, he lives with his dad who is an alcoholic and is a deadbeat, he told me he has no choice but to buy his own food and rent, and basically to support himself. He said everything else is saved towards college because he knows nobody else is going to help him with money. He explained he’s been gathering clients for the last 2 years, and promised he’s going to stop when he turns 18. He said he wouldn’t ever get me involved with anything if anything was meant to happen between us and also said he’s very against drugs himself, has never even tried cocaine. I said I need to think things over, and he said he understands.

I really need some advice! I REALLY like him…Never met anyone like him before. If you were in my situation how would you react?? I’m going to let him know tomorrow, why not just take the chance??

He sounds like a good kid in the wrong place.

I would give him a chance. His job is only a way to keep himself alive and healthy. He doesn’t do drugs (as you say), he treats you nice and he is honest. On top of all that you like him! He sounds like a very good kid. Like I said, give him a chance. If you realize that he was lying, then let him go. But right now you’re just assuming the worst out of a person who has one imperfection. Be open minded and see how things work out.

I was dating a guy for 6 weeks not long as you can see we broke up a few days a go he told me he wasn’t ready for a relationship yet as we are only 18 and he is also going through problems we agreed to stay just friends but the thing is i want him back , so how can i win him back i dont know if it is possible

if he wants to just be friends, then that is probably what it will be. if he feels he is ready one day and still has feelings for you, then you will get him back. untill then get to know eachother better. 6 weeks isnt that long.

I really don’t want to be this person’s friend at all, how do I get rid of her?

So there’s this lady probably in her sixties or something. She met me at the bus stop, I sometimes like to talk to strangers, but it doesn’t mean I want to become "friends" with them and have lunch/coffee with them! So I met this lady a while back at the bus stop, then at one point she gave me her number and asked for me to call her, I never did. The today I saw her again after not seeing her for a few months or so. She said she "lost" my number and asked for it again, well she didn’t lose my number because I never even gave it to her, she just gave me hers last time. But I was being polite so I gave her my number today. We talked about everyday stuff, then she insisted a few times that we should talk on the phone and go out for coffee at our local Starbucks. I just smiled and said "yeah". There was a man staring at me when I was talking to her on the bus for some reason. Last time this lady told me something about her divorce with her husband. Today she told me that she lives with her cousin and that her cousin is her roommate. I met her cousin before at the supermarket, they are both in their sixties, this lady "acts" and tries to "look" younger with makeup and fashion and whatnot. I believe this lady wants a relationship with me, like more than friendship, either way, how do I avoid this lady? She lives about a block away from me, but I don’t want to be rude, please help! I’m only 18, why would someone so much older want to hang out or date someone as young as me? I’m kind of freaked out.

Guys (or girls), do you ever feel like you’ve been tricked by makeup?

I’ve noticed that my friends have been getting really into makeup lately (we’re 19) and it’s really amazing how drastically it can change your face. There have been a few times where my mind has been blown by how much large eyes can look or fuller lips can appear. Even facial structures can change.
So then I’ve been looking online for makeup before and after photo’s, and again, I was amazed (I feel like a simpleton). Then I started feeling self conscious cause if everyone wears makeup, then those that don’t kinda look plain or ‘normal,’ with all our visible pores, acne and uneven skin tones like a lowly human XD.
So I’ve been wondering, if a guy looks at a girl (for example) whose done up and thinks she’s really attractive, is he going to feel disappointed/lied to when he sees her without it? Has there ever been such a drastic change overnight from where she’s done up to when you see her in the morning that you think "where the hell’s the girl I brought home last night?" Or where you didn’t try and continue any relationship with them? Has anyone ever felt like they’ve been tricked?
I’ve been told that I’m making a big deal about nothing and I’m starting to think I am, but if there are any personal stories/experiences as well as opinions, they’d be appreciated.

I always wear makeup the first time I go on dates with a new guy. Basically makeup should be worn to look like you arent wearing any makeup at all! Meaning it is to make your skin look naturally beautiful. After I date the guy for a few months then if I sleep over he will eventually see me without makeup on. No guy ever feels duped. They know how good looking you CAN look and once they care about you they like you with or without makeup. Ive actually had some ex BFs tell me I look better without makeup or the same.

My best friend doesn’t want to talk to me, how do I fix this?

She and I have grown a pretty close relationship this past year, where we attended nearly the same classes and shared the same summer activities.
The last year and this current year, until just now, we spent all nights and days talking on the phone, and I feel we’ve been great supports for each other, and we make each other happy a lot.

Though with all of that, I was sad to hear her once say that she wished she was closer to another friend of hers more because she could not talk to me about makeup, as I was absolutely clueless on that topic. I knew that too, though I was kind of sad to hear it, but I knew that whenever we went out on outings, she and I for a long period of time would have nothing to say to each other until we got to where we were going. I think this might be because we see each other every day now, so maybe we’ve exhausted all possible conversation material, plus there are no problems in our own lives, except this one troubling me right now.

I know she has had much better friends than I in the past, and sometimes I wonder why she still is friends with a slow person like me. I’m not sure if I was able to make her as happy, or was able to help her as much as she has helped me.
Sometimes I feel the same way about how I cannot always talk to her about the things that I like, that I would usually talk about with my other friends (though they feel a bit distant now)

I don’t often call my best friend, and she has to end up calling me, which I assume causes her to think that I think less of her if she has to be the one that wants to talk to me, and I can see that would hurt her feelings, but I don’t think that way. I never had a friend who I was so close to before, and sometimes I am not sure of what to talk about since we see each other everyday so often. She has confronted me about this several times and she says that she doesn’t like that I don’t call her. I tell her I’m sorry, but she knows I don’t change.

I deserve her being mad at me.

I tried calling her today, since she was initially mad about this yesterday, and she just hung up on me. I called her back asking her why she did that, and she said she didn’t want to talk to me.

And now, I’ve just left it at that. It’s still the same day, so I think I have time to do something about it, but I don’t know what to do.

It’s definitely hard to be friends with someone you have very little in common with, especially if you see each other everyday since you don’t have much in common with her. I think that you should probably start ringing her more often and trying harder with the conversation because it seems clear that she means a lot to you and you’re glad that you have her as a friend and you don’t want to lose her but you have to let her know that. One of the reasons she may have stopped talking to you is because you don’t call her and she thinks that it’s only her that is putting in the effort and she might think that maybe you don’t want to be friends and that might have hurt her and made her angry at you and know she doesn’t want to talk to you. Keep making an effort to communicat with her, keep phoning her, text her, email her, IM her and if show up at her house a few times so that she has to speak to you. Tell her that you’re sorry and that you still want to be her friend and tell her that her friendship has helped you a lot. Also, you’ve said that she is in to make up but can’t talk to you because you’re not, well to keep the conversation going why don’t you get her to teach you stuff about make up you could host a sleepover and she could bring her makeup kit over and make you up, show you how to apply make up and teach you what different things do and what you use them for and you could do the same for her with something you’re into. If you feel stuck for conversation with her why don’t you try and find out more about her because there is probably quite a lot that you don’t know about her just choose questions to ask about things you don’t really know about her just go over some questions in your head and answer the ones you do know then save the ones you don’t know to ask her hopefully you will find out more about her and start some more conversations. Another thing you could do is just comment like if you’ll are hanging out just like look and see something and just make a general comment about it and hopefully she will reply. Anyway…good luck

How to ask my mom to let me wear makeup?

okay so i am 13 and i asked her when i was 12 and she said no… I want to ask her again but i am not exactly sure how to do it… you see me and my mom do not have the greatest relationship when it comes to talking about girl stuff like makeup and boys ect… so anyway.. i want to wear it as a creative thing.. but not much, like mascara and maybe a little eyeliner kinda thing, i do not want it to attract boys or cuz all of my friends wear it (even though they do…) anyway how do i ask her and get her to say yesss… thanks ♥
okay so my mom doesn’t wear makeup… she wears foundation in the winter and curls her eyelashes… so ya, but i have my own… also i know that i will no b creative at first but after a while when i can where whatever i want for makeup it will be creative…

Just tell her you feel like you need to wear it because you are a teen now! Girls wear makeup for confidence. so, just dont wear makeup just to wear it. also, maybe go out to the mall with a friend and secretly buy eyeliner and be like "oh, look what (insert name here) bought me!) haha.
or..ask her to get a makeup "consoltation" at a salon. lots of them do that!

Why am I like the only girl at my school who’s never been in a relationship?

I’m going into 10th grade. I’ve never been in a relationship, never been kissed. I’ve been asked out once by a guy but he turned out to be a controlling freak. But everyone just assumes I’ve been in a relationship before.
I was different than the average freshmen. I didn’t tease my hair 10ft high, cake on makeup everyday, ect. I leave my hair naturally straight, and wear makeup that depends on what I’m wearing. Some days it’s lighter, other days more dramatic.
The weird thing is that I attract guys who are 1-2 years old than me, and the nerds in my grade. My mom says it’s because most guys in 9th grade are wanting the girls who tease their hair and starve themselves. She says the "nerds" and older guys like me because they’re more mature and realize that they don’t want a girl who’s obsessed with how she looks. Is she right? Or is she just trying to make me feel better? I mean I’m fine with waiting until a decent person comes along, but it’s starting to get really old. Do you think next year will be any better?

You’re not. Trust me. I was the same way as you. I ended up getting my first boyfriend at 15, but the relationship never went anywhere (we never even kissed, and we were together for over a year).

Right after I graduated (age 18), I started dating my current boyfriend. I have friends who are 19 and have never been in relationships before. Just give yourself some time. It’s not a big deal to have have a boyfriend in high school. You’ll find a guy at some point.

And yeah, you’re mom is probably right on that one.
