The reason why i’m having a difficult time with this is because we’re not BEST friends, we talk in school and we had a step team we were on and we hung out then, but that was 2 years ago. She started dating this guy in my neighboorhood, and she used to dress really cute and was fit, now she put on some pounds and only dresses in baggy clothing,sometimes the same clothing. no makeup, or messy makeup, hair always messy and up.shes always over there, and almost always sleeps over.he failed a year and is a senior in high school and shes a young junior in high school, about 4 years difference.
at first i thought it was the ‘boyfriend’ phase, i had mine too.always hanging out, put on a pound or two and dressed more casual.
but this is a little bit more extreme, and i didn’t start to worry until today at school, she had a huge black eye and other bruises. i asked my friend about it, and she said that when he used to date this other girl, that she always had bruises on her arms, too.which i also realized as she said this.
I don’t want to approach it the wrong way and have her get mad, especially if i’m not the first one to do so. My mom was in a very abusive relationship with my dad, and i don’t want to see her go through one because shes too beautiful and too young, and too good for him to be in an abusive relationship.
so should i go to her?or a counselor? a teacher? what do i say?

I think you should tell her that your worried about her and you could even tell her that your mom was in a very abusive relationship, and that your only saying all this stuff because you don’t want to see her to go through that. Some people don’t take it very well and go into denial because they only hear what they want to, in that case i would probably talk to either a counselor or a teacher and tell them whats going on and that your scared for your friend. Once she realizes that you care enough she’ll thank you!

Therefore be open to forgiveness and you will cement a loving relationship that will last for a long time. As you continue to date, you will have the opportunity to really learn what the Irish boy is about, with time, you will be happy for making a love connection. In other dating instances, women never manage to make this connection. Love is not always easy and it takes one to appreciate and understand their partner. Have fun as you look for exciting ways to take your relationship to another level. As a woman of a different culture, it is pretty normal to feel strange as you begin dating. Chances are that they will find you also very strange. However, taking time will bring you closer to establish strong bonds.
